The event was taking place on October 19-22 in Memorial City Hall Performance Center in Marshall, Texas.

”A big step forward for Cicci Landén last night in Marshall, Texas where she was selected for the Texas Sounds International Country Music Awards. In fierce competition with artists from all over the world, Cicci won the prestigious ”Female Vocalist of the Year” category. I feel especially happy because I was involved from the very beginning of Cicci’s career and also produced the show ”A Tribute To Emmylou” with Cicci, Yvette and Jennifer. Three female artists from this part of Music Sweden who deserve a breakthrough nationally, and also internationally.

Cicci now shows that Swedish-produced Americana has potential even outside Sweden. I hope this can be the beginning of a real breakthrough for Cicci Landén (or Cicci Landen as they say in Texas), especially in Sweden. But, when will Stockholm wake up and discover where today’s more root-based and organic music comes from! Also coming soon is Cicci’s new Amir Aly-produced album. The world is waiting!
